In Europe, Google Product Search was only available in UK and Germany till yesterday and its stealth launch in France. Stealth, as I haven’t seen any official comment on any of the Google blogs, but only tweets (who was the first one to notice? :) ). Stealth, also because it doesn’t seem to be linked from the main Google Web results (no “Shopping” tab yet to redirect traffic from Web search to Shopping search).
So what’s the difference between the French version and the other ones?

Even if the quality of Google Shopping FR is not as good or advanced as the US version yet, its launch is a big event for the French market; and will clearly change the shopping engines landscape in the following months.
When comparing the French and US versions, I have also spotted some changes on the US version. First, I noticed some “sponsored merchant” placements on product pages, and also a nice improvement in the refining options for merchant ratings.
