Yahoo! Shopping US has launched a new homepage. It’s a nice – and welcomed – improvement over the previous one that was – personal taste ;) – cluttered and not really good looking. This new homepage has a Kelkoo-ish style in it: carousel to highlight the seasonal events (even if, for the moment, it displays generic announcements for top categories), LREC ad placement on the top right (completed with a NORTH placement at the bottom of the page), grey rounded content placements (including the “deal of the day” provided by Woot).
Overall, it’s a great execution: the new blue header, grey gradient background and white background makes it very ’08 :) Hopefully, this new style will shortly be applied to the rest of the site.
