Last week, the Fifth European Hack Day was organized at Yahoo! (for those who wonder what a Hack Day is, read this). Among the hacks that were presented, there is one that catched my attention: Listings-Like-This has been developed by Ben Ward, member of the web development team at Yahoo! Europe and contributor to the development of the new Kelkoo website we launched last year. This hack illustrates how microformats and hListing microformat in particular can be used to create mash-ups. It basically parses a Kelkoo result page, identifies the first five offers described with hListing, and displays them as a badge on another site. In short, it is a quick way to produce a shopping widget from a Kelkoo result page. Well done, Ben!
