About this photo album

About... November, 28th - Cruise on Lake Manapouri to reach West Arm power station, followed by a bus ride over Wilmot Pass to Doubtful Sound. Then, on board of the "Fiorland Navigator", a 70-people boat, to cruise on the fjord. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day, which is pretty rare in Doubtful Sound, where there is roughly 300 days of rain per year!!

En bateau sur le Lac Manapouri pour rejoindre la centrale électrique de West Arm, puis un tour de bus pour rejoindre Doubtful Sound via le col de Wilmot. De là, nous montons à bord du "Fiorland Navigator", un bateau de 70 places, pour naviguer sur le fjord. Nous avons la chance d'avoir une première journée ensoleillée, ce qui est plutôt rare pour Doubtful Sound, qui a en moyenne 300 jours de pluie par an!!

November, 29th - It was raining :) which was a good thing : we saw the sound with normal weather, and cascades started to appear all over the mountains. Unforgettable trip !!!

Il pleut :) ce qui est plutôt une bonne nouvelle, car cela nous a permis de voir le fjord dans des conditions de temps "habituelles" ; dès qu'il pleut, les cascades commencent à apparaître et changent complètement le paysage. Un voyage inoubliable!!!
